¡Seguridad para la Caravana por el Agua!

Desde Slumil K’ajxemk’op nos unimos a las demandas del CNI (Congreso Nacional Indígena) y de la Caravana por el Agua y la Vida organizada por los Pueblos Unidos para garantizar las condiciones de seguridad a lo largo de todo el recorrido de la Caravana, especialmente en su actual ubiación en la comunidad de Colotepec, Chilapa.
Con mucha preocupación estamos viendo como la Caravana está siendo amenazada por la presencia de un gran grupo del cartel “Los Ardillos”, compuesto por 50 camionetas y 20 motocicletas. El Estado mexicano sabe y conoce la situación en esta región y las acciones brutales e impunes que desplega éste grupo de sicarios.
Por esta razón hacemos un llamado público al gobierno federal, estatal y local para que se garantize la seguridad de las y los miembros de la Caravana por Agua y la Vida.
Reiteramos que este movimiento es pacífico. Repudiamos todas las prácticas de guerra en contra de los pueblos y hacemos responsables a los tres niveles de gobierno de cualquier atentado en contra de la Caravana y de nuestr@s herman@s del CIPOG-EZ.

From Slumil K’ajxemk’op we join the demands of the CNI (National Indigenous Congress) and the Caravan for Water and Life organised by the United Peoples to ensure security conditions along the entire route of the Caravan, especially in its current location in the community of Colotepec, Chilapa.

It is with great concern that we are seeing how the Caravan is being threatened by the presence of a large group of the cartel “Los Ardillos”, made up of 50 vans and 20 motorbikes. The Mexican State knows and is aware of the situation in this region and the brutal and unpunished actions of this group of hired killers.

For this reason, we make a public call to the federal, state, and local governments to guarantee the safety of the members of the Caravan for Water and Life. We reiterate that this is a peaceful movement. We repudiate all practices of war against the people and we hold the three levels of government responsible for any attack against the Caravan and our sisters and brothers of CIPOG-EZ.

If they touch one of us, they touch us all!

Von Slumil K’ajxemk’op aus schließen wir uns den Forderungen des CNI (Nationaler Indigenen-Kongress) und der von den Pueblos Unidos organisierten Karawane für das Wasser und das Leben an, die Sicherheitsbedingungen entlang der gesamten Route der Karawane zu gewährleisten, insbesondere an ihrem derzeitigen Standort in der Gemeinde Colotepec, Chilapa.
Mit großer Sorge beobachten wir, wie die Karawane durch die Anwesenheit einer großen Gruppe des Kartells “Los Ardillos”, bestehend aus 50 Pickups und 20 Motorrädern, bedroht wird. Der mexikanische Staat kennt und weiß um die Situation in dieser Region und die brutalen und ungestraften Aktionen dieser Gruppe von Sicarios.
Aus diesem Grund appellieren wir öffentlich an die Bundes-, Landes- und Kommunalregierungen, die Sicherheit der Mitglieder der Karawane für das Wasser und das Leben zu gewährleisten.
Wir betonen erneut, dass es sich um eine friedliche Bewegung handelt. Wir lehnen alle Kriegspraktiken gegen das Volk ab und machen die drei Regierungsebenen für jeden Angriff gegen die Karawane und unsere Geschwister vom CIPOG-EZ verantwortlich.
